What’s your best advice for aspiring entrepreneurs?īe persistent – it may take time for your vision to materialize. Blue Startups is a great local accelerator that really helped us. Honolulu has very few startups but things are getting better – the biggest hurdle is for new startups to find funding and talent. What are your thoughts on the local tech startup scene in Honolulu? We are also rapidly adding new integrations with new partners almost every week. These newer features will allow bigger property managers and bigger cleaning companies to enjoy our platform. TurnoverBnB is growing rapidly and we are working hard on some amazing features for cleaners and property managers to be even more efficient. What does the future hold for TurnoverBnB? We worked around-the-clock nights and weekends for a long time until we were able to hire enough people. We didn’t have enough money for a large team but had to meet the high expectations of users. The biggest hurdle TurnoverBnB faced was handling the initial growth period. What was the biggest hurdle you encountered in your journey? I made the app available to the community and it eventually became so popular that I decided to make it into a business together with a business school friend, Tim Roy. So, being a programmer by training, I created an app to help me. I was managing an Airbnb and had a hard time keeping track of cleaning schedules and finding cleaners.
